Silva says he wants to stay in Pride

Wanderlei Silva is back to his training routine since this past Monday. After his bout with Mark Hunt on New Year's at the Pride Shockwave 2 event, the middleweight champion decided to take a vacation with his family and is now getting back into his training. Wanderlei commented about his future: 'My situation is still undefined. We are looking at the propositions that were made and lets see how it goes, but we don't have anything defined yet, we are still in negotiation.'

The champ was very clear about his preference between the 2 bigger players (K-1 and Pride): 'I would rather stay in Pride, that's were I got my big break and I really like it there, it's a tremendous show.' As always, Wanderlei expects to get more fights this year: 'I'm here for what ever it takes. I'm solving those contractual problems and I hope to start fighting soon. Something tells me that this will be my most active year ever.'
